Sail Away With Me

Brett and I had an amazing adventure day indeed. I'll post more pictures and write more later.. but for now here's a sneak peek. I just uploaded all of my pictures and when my eyes fell upon image 5590 I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. It was a reminder.

God has created such a burning for photography in my heart. It started young and it's only gotten more furious as time has gone on. He has opened my eyes to things unseen. My heart swells when He paints me a picture to capture. I want the images I have taken to stir others hearts. I want them to reflect Him. When I am able to capture more than just an image of what's in front of me.. when I can freeze time and forever document a moment... that moment where my heart was swelling as I heard Him whisper "this is for you"... I can't help but get fuzzy inside. Image 5590 will definitely be going into my "top 10" favorite pictures I've taken. It was a blessing of a moment where He, my heart, and the lens collided and together we wrote a beautiful story in color and light.

"But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you.
O Israel, the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine!
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush and Seba in your stead.
Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you"
Isaiah 43: 1-4
